Help Foster Children Thrive

Do you know there are more than 400,000 children in foster care in the U.S.?  Many foster children experience a high amount of anxiety and uncertainty during the placement process, which can impact their mental well-being and school performance and potentially develop into post-traumatic stress disorder.

We are dedicated to helping foster children thrive. Our goal is to provide foster children with the essential items they need to thrive, including First Night Bags filled with hygiene and comfort items, gift cards for food, and bicycle locks for transportation.

FIRST-NIGHT DUFFEL BAGS

We delivered 100 brand new duffel bags filled with hygiene items, crayons, coloring books, hand-made blankets, and teddy bears to help reduce stress and trauma during the placement process and make foster children feel safe and cared for.

Gift Cards & Bicycle Locks

We donated Safeway gift cards and bicycle locks to foster youth in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.

Spreading Love to Taiwan

We contributed NT$10,000 along with vitamin supplements to Bethany Children's Home in Taipei, an organization dedicated to offering foster care to more than 30 children.

Girl ScoutS Gold Award

WeCare for Children was founded as a part of a Girl Scout Gold Award project and continues its efforts as a student organization at Dougherty Valley High School as well as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving foster youth and children in need.
